I'm making some headway with this one and I'm pretty happy with it. If you're a dot player, you know how hard it is to find a good dot that looks good enough when very small. Ok, so the last one I threw in is my dot. The differences in outlines don't show up well in pictures, but they are distinct in game. FR1-TO = FR1 + Thin (1 pixel cross) + Black Outline There are 3 subsets.standard, outlined, and thin outlinedĥ. FR1 has the most extras and FR4 is the most minimalģ. The reticle variant names start with FR1 and go through FR4Ģ. I don't like a lot of stuff around the point of aim, so by making them bigger I have a nice circle to work within.ġ. The HUD/ weapons display is currently useless so I need to use xhairs and colors to show what weapon is up. Because of the visibility of so many xhairs in UT4, I've been using an overlay and overlays don't change with weapons.
My final goal with this was to go back to hidden weapons. Warning: Using an overlay in an online multiplayer game could get you banned, so think twice, do some research whether the game allows users to use custom crosshairs, etc. They are high resolution so they look pretty nice. Back on the main screen of the application, click on the settings button in the bottom-right to access options to modify the crosshair sight, size, and the opacity. It started as a goof, but then my shock combos became absolutely insane with these and I became a bit obsessed. And finally, with all the lighting changes in UT4, dots are really tough to track for this colorblind person so I was curious to see how I would play with a giant reticle.
I'm also having to make it so small 120 fov, I'm losing it in battle. I love the dot, but I'm struggling to find one I like.
